Bonus, Bribe Or Blackmail?
There are a number of discussions going on at the moment with regards to affiliate incentives, what do affiliates prefer and what do they want? Do affiliate incentives really work or does good conversion and decent comission make you work harder? Affiliate Bitch does not like to be bribed with the promise of glamorous gifts for hitting targets, when these targets are often unacheivable due to poor conversion. If the conversion is good, the EPC is good and the comission structure is good, that is all the incentive you should need for pushing the merchant. Throw in a great affiliate management team and the sales will flow.
The one exception to this is the Affiliate Future Barbados incentive. This will make Affiliate Bitch work hard, setting up bespoke websites and pushing all the traffic I can. A once in a lifetime trip to Barbados, or a £10 gift voucher? No question what Affiliate Bitch prefers.
Tip for the day - As a rule, no need for incentives, but if you do one, make it BIG and make me work for it! I love a challenge!

Something for nothing...(well, usually a few hours work put in) is always a winner.
True win a grand for 10,000 sales is out of the reach of most and these can get up the nose of most as unobtainable.
But in general free hols, choc, and the odd weird gadget that I dont even know where it come from is always nice.
